This section of the web site revolves around a
very unique insurance product that is relatively
new: the Equity Indexed Annuity or "EIA". The
first EIA contracts were issued in the mid
1990s. There is much confusion regarding Equity
Indexed Annuities and as you may have noticed,
very little help from any impartial sources in
evaluating them. We're here to change that! This
web site exists as a resource for any individual
looking to become more familiar with how the EIA
works.
Frequently Asked Questions
EIAs can only be purchased through a licensed insurance agent.
This site is not meant to be a replacement for competent advice from such a professional. Most EIA products are issued by insurance companies that
only sell their products through a channel of independent agents. Although these
agents may appear unbiased, many of them can become very partial to a particular company
through simple familiarity or comfort.
Additionally, in light of their independent agent status, there is no standardized
training that these agents receive to ensure their competency in understanding
the complex workings of the various EIA Index Credit Methods (the ways an EIA
can earn interest) that exist today.

Consumers who have been approached by an advisor with an EIA recommendation
can
use the free 'EIAnalyzer' on this site. This lets you view MCP Premium EIA Credit
Method Ratings information
on approximately 600 EIA product Profiles to confirm the value of the expected return presented by the advisor.

Finding insurance agents well-versed in
understanding these special investments is
difficult. Without a comprehensive suite of
tools, agents find it a daunting task to
choose the right EIA Index Credit Method. If
you would like to contact an insurance
professional who uses comprehensive EIA
analysis tools and has been educated to
analyze the EIA appropriately, please use the
free 'Find a Professional' page
to locate such a professional in your area. |

Consumers are also often seeking informative
and educational articles from impartial
sources. We have compiled a handful
that are appropriate for the average
individual, which you will find at our 'EIA
Articles' page. |
